We use a 4WD, dually dump truck. If you can get to the horses location with a pickup we can get to them with our truck, generally speaking. Our equipment is setup so that as long as we are within 75' of the animal we can get them into our truck. We commonly access riding arenas and stables to remove animals that are deceased.
We are generally available when ever you call. We understand that having a large animal pass away is not usually anticipated. While we certainly do schedule visits for horses that are being euthanized, we are also available for the unexpected deaths.
All animals we pickup are buried within the guidelines issued by the State of Michigan's Department of Natural Resources on our farm or are cremated at the Michigan State Universities clinic for Veterinary Medicine in Lansing.

We pickup and bury your beloved animals, when they pass away, on our farm.
Cremation
We pickup and transport your deceased animals to Michigan State University (MSU) for private or communal cremation at your request.

Pickup and Burial
$400-$500+ depending on distance
With soaring fuel prices we try to be as economical as possible but the cost for operating equipment is much higher than usual
Removal From Stall
$50
This only applies if we need to use block and tackle or alternate methods to get the deceased animal from the stall -- most pickups do not require this
Cremation
Cremation Services are provided by MSU but we pay them directly and transport the animal to them for you
Communal Cremation
$800
We pickup and transport to MSU for you. You do not get any ashes back and we pay MSU.
Private Cremation
$1,100
We pickup the animal and transport to MSU for you. You will get ashes sent to you from MSU. Again, we pay MSU and you pay us.
Necropsy
$450-$500
Transportation to MSU for necropsy services. Since there is such a wide variety of costs related to necropsy work, we only provide transportation. All other services are to be paid directly with MSU.
Prices subject to change depending on fuel prices - There will be a 4% additional charge for using a credit card
